Red Spice Road Gets New Art

Red Spice Road Gets New Art

This week, we’re excited to unveil an original full wall painting by artist Mike Eleven at Red Spice Road, McKillop Street. The dramatic commissioned artwork is over 13 metres in length and 3.5 metres high, covering the length of our private dining space.
We were thrilled when local up and coming artist, Mike Eleven, accepted a commission to paint the 13.5 metre long wall at the entry to the restaurant and across the private dining rooms.
“Mike is such a talented young artist, it’s hard to believe he is entirely self-taught,” said restaurant owner Andrew Cameron. “I expect we will see this young man’s work hanging in galleries around the world in coming years”, he said.
“We love the strong Asian women in Mike’s work and the piece he has created at Red Spice Road fits the space and the restaurant perfectly. These gorgeous women are beautiful, tough, urban and ethereal all at the same time. We’re all in love with them!” said Vanessa Green, co-owner.
To see Mike Eleven’s amazing new piece, drop by Red Spice Road during opening hours and ask to take a peek, or better still drop in for a drink or light bite and enjoy the new view.
