Queens Street Opens with a Bang!

Queens Street Opens with a Bang!

Buzzing from wall to wall, our spacious new Queen Street location has opened with a bang! Boasting high ceilings, double story windows, and ornate vaulted ceilings, the design team has done a fantastic job creating the ultimate dining experience at the new Red Spice Road venue. We’d like to send out an extended thank you for being so patient during the process of the move, with the result being very positive and very well received since opening our new doors on November 8th, 2019.

The culinary team are adjusting well to the new modern kitchen spaces, whilst our floor staff are getting a good workout from the stairs leading to the magnificent mezzanine. With a new venue comes a new menu, Head Chef Sungeun Mo has designed and created a new menu to be launched early December. Keep your eyes peeled to our social channels and website to see what to expect in the upcoming weeks!

Fun facts about the new location;

  • 141 Queen Street is of historical significance for its association with the Victoria Club and with the history of horse racing in Victoria. The Victoria Club closed around 2008-2012 and is now located in the Rialto building at 525 Collins Street. It was founded in 1880 by a group of bookmakers who split away from Tattersalls Subscription Betting Rooms for the purpose of calling cards and settling bets. It was ‘home’ to club members – bookmakers – for nearly 60 years.
  • Originally built in the early 1900s, 141 Queen Street is now classified by the Building Trust as a ’building of interest.’
  • The original building was an emporium of three storeys, but in the 1930s and 1950s, another eight levels were added in two stages.

We cannot wait to welcome you at our new home!
