Meat Fish Wine Head Chef, Darren Mercaldi goes head to head with Red Spice Road Executive, Chef John McLeay on Thursday July 28th.

In an East meets West ‘cook off’ not to be missed, Chef Darren and Chef John will use the same ingredients to create five very different courses and dishes.

The star attraction may well be Red Spice Road’s famous Pork Belly with chilli caramel and apple slaw against Chef Darren’s pork dish – to be revealed on the night!

The key ingredients you can expect to enjoy are… scallop, prawn, egg, pork belly & coconut. Each dish created will be a blissful surprise to the palate!

Bring your appetite, we’ll provide the score pad and an evening filled with delicious food and fun on this epic culinary battle. The stakes are high, each chef determined to take the title and you get to reap the rewards!


Chef Darren’s Menu:
Seared scallop, chocolate black pudding, orange puree

Scallop yuzu ceviche, corn, whipped avocado, shiso, shichi-mi tōgarashi, nori cracker

Betel leaf, spicy spanner crab, crispy shallots, salmon eggs, quail egg
