This year we joined the Melbourne Good Food and Wine Show for the first time. Citi Australia presented a new dining precinct called EAT and that is exactly what we wanted people to do.
Burma Lane and Red Spice Road joined forces to stand as one stall out of three in the precinct. Having never done this before, we weren’t sure what to expect, and to be honest, we were all a little nervous. We prepared the only way we know how – with bright colours, quirky badges and a showcase menu demonstrating exactly what our food is all about.
We knew our signature Pork Belly dish would be popular, but how would people receive our Northern Thai Curry Dish and Wagyu Cheeseburger Dumplings?
The answer is: very well! After a steady first day on the Friday, we ended up with long queues on the weekend. We were delighted to see many restaurant regulars support us at the stall as well as many new faces, eager to join our Bite Club.
We had a lot of fun sharing our dishes with food and wine enthusiasts and can’t wait until our next event! A big thank-you to all our staff who helped out over the weekend and all the customers who decided to have a taste of what we had on offer. Stay tuned for our next events on our What’s On calendar here.
